Translated into English, Soñando con el Fútbol means ‘Dreaming of soccer’. This feature-length documentary aired on NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC over two nights in 11 countries to 50+ million Latin Americans. It tells the story of 14 children who overcome life’s obstacles with their passion for, and lessons learned from, fútbol.
Much like hockey for Canadians, fútbol binds Latin Americans. Over 24 million Latin Americans continually interacted with our content and, once they did, we showed them product ads to meaningfully build Scotiabank’s business across Latin America.
Footage from the feature-length documentary was used to produce hundreds of other pieces of contextually-relevant content for social media, broadcast, and in-stadium assets.
Latin American children rely on family to pursue their passion in fútbol. It’s part of every story we filmed. Because family is an important priority over the holidays, we made this message specifically for Christmas.
To empower Chilean youth, we partnered with One World Play and gave children indestructible footballs in under-serviced areas. This is one of those children.
